TIKKUN ECO CENTER

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

Our mission is to foster a world of greater resilience, abundance and peace for future generations.

Tikkun’s center is an inspiring community hub for ecological education and restoration. Our urgent mission is to expand our model reservoir restoration and reforestation project.

We are focused on building health and resilience for rural communities most vulnerable to climate change.

With community support, we are working to restore 20 more traditional reservoirs, reforesting with 50,000 native trees, and mulching them with 10,000 meters of hyacinths currently choking the Presa Allende.

This project is a scaleable model of ecological repair that can be replicated throughout Mexico.

ABOUT TIKKUN

The San Jose de Gracia Reservoir before and after restoration.

We can transform drought and poverty to abundance.

Ecological destruction and climate impacts are now driving a global resource crisis leading to water and food insecurity, social conflict, and mass migration.

But there is good news.

As the 5 Most Epic Earth Healing Projects video shows, solutions can be implemented on a large scale in to transform semi-arid and arid regions, bringing immediate improvement in human and ecological health, and reversing desertification.

Watch and be inspired!

OUR VISION

Tikkun olam (Hebrew: תִּיקּוּן עוֹלָם, lit. 'repair of the world')

We believe it is a spiritual and moral duty to heal the damage to our world caused by ignorance and greed, and to ensure an abundant and beautiful future for our children, our grandchildren, and all beings on Earth.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS

“You carry Mother Earth within you. She is not outside of you.

Mother Earth is not just your environment.

In that insight of inter-being, it is possible to have real communication with the Earth, which is the highest form of prayer.”

- Thich Naht Hahn
