20 Reservoir Restoration & Reforestation Project
You can help our vulnerable rural communities access safe water, build resilience to climate change and restore local ecosystems.
Become a special supporter of our urgent work to restore 20 historic village rainwater reservoirs.
Help rural San Miguel communities survive aquifer depletion, drought and climate change
Reforest with 50,000 native trees (2500 per reservoir) donated by the municipal government
Provide ecological service learning projects for local students primary school through university
Giving options:
$500 - $2500 USD: support planting 100 - 500 native trees and cactus (a tiny forest) in your name!
$3000 USD: pay for engineering and planning for reservoir restoration
$5000 - $10,000 USD: support the excavation of a reservoir and we will dedicate it in your name!

Earth School
Ecological service learning
In 2024, thanks to exciting new partnerships with San Miguel NGOs, we will be expanding our Earth School ecological service learning program.
Our expanded program will:
Partner with local and international NGOs to develop more comprehensive educational and service learning experiences
Develop curriculum and materials for teachers and students
Work with local schools to craft tailored programs to best suit their needs
Offer special programs for University credit
Develop a Train the Trainers program for next generation capacity building
Help develop career paths for environmental restoration work in San Miguel
Your generous donation empowers local students to be positive agents of change in their own communities for generations to come.
Giving options:
$250 - $1000 USD: Supports development and purchase of materials for bilingual curriculum (printed, video, website)
$2500 - $7500 USD: Supports up to five full scholarships to our Train the Trainers program
$10,000 - $15,000 USD: Supports a full time, local bi-lingual coordinator
