Mindfulness at Tikkun

Why Practice Mindfulness?

Mindfulness training is an invaluable tool that helps us cultivate a deeper sense of awareness and presence.

Combining elements of meditation, breathing and movement exercises, and guided self-reflection, our mindfulness retreats empower us to navigate the ceaseless stream of thoughts, emotions, and triggering external stimuli with greater clarity, equanimity, and calmness.

Through observing our thoughts non-judgmentally, we develop a compassionate understanding of our inner experiences, and those of others.

Mindfulness offers a unique and accessible path to greater peace, personally and collectively. By integrating mindfulness into our daily lives, we can find solace amidst chaos of today’s challenging world.

Tikkun Mindfulness retreats support those interested in growing through personal exploration and contemplation. You are invited to connect with the land, the community, and yourself. May you find refuge and inspiration.

About Mindfulness at Tikkun

Tikkun Eco Center is a small Permaculture teaching center, offering a warm and welcoming sanctuary for mindfulness work.

Our name comes from the Hebrew phrase Tikkun Olam, which means to repair the world. At Tikkun we seek a grounded, harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature, where the potential for personal healing and growth are nurtured.

Our organic gardens and food forest provide a vibrant and diverse bounty for community meals. Our buildings are constructed of local adobe, keeping the interior cool and pleasant. Relax and enjoy the tranquil Koi pond, the smell of pines, the bees and butterflies, chickens and horses.

Weather permitting, we provide warm, healing thermal water in our soaking pool.
